Walking and talking with my friend Amy recently, she fervently asked that I get this recipe up on the website as soon as possible. And with good reason — who doesn’t love a delicious Ranch dressing? But your ranch dressing may not love you back. Topping a delicious, nutrient-dense salad with typical store-bought ranch dressing can ruin an otherwise healthy meal.

But no need to feel a bit guilty or skimp on this beloved dressing that adds healthy protein and numerous beneficial live active cultures!

  1. Gather all ingredients.
  2. Mix all ingredients together, adjusting liquid for desired consistency, and spices to taste.
  3. Enjoy a generous amount on chef salads, any type of side salad and many other dishes where a little Ranch makes you smile.
  4. Keep refrigerated.
Recipe Notes

* Fat is needed in our salad dishes in order for our bodies to absorb the nutrients from our vegetables, and whole-fat dairy is not the villain you thought it was. You're eating what the cow ate though, so choose organic.

** Consider kicking it up a notch by using fresh herbs, measuring tablespoons instead of teaspoons, and using flat-leaf parsley. Or, if you are using the dry spices you can mix them together ahead to create your own dry Ranch mix, and using 1 1/2 Tbs of mix in this recipe.
